What are your weight-control goals?

I am happy to be losing 0.5 - 1 kg per week, I feel this is realistic when wanting to succeed in keeping it off and getting to my goal of 80kg.

What is your motivation for losing weight?

Lots! I wanted to be fit again. Keeping up with two children you need to be. I was tired of not having any get up and go. My metabolism was virtually zero so the exercise has paid off there. Also my looks - I wanted to be able to go into the shops and buy some of the lovely clothes that they only seem to sell for smaller women. All in all, I just want to be a healthy person with more energy.

What is your weight-loss method?

Exercise! I did none for 6 years and now I feel incomplete if I don't have my swim or walk each day. It is also my time when I can unwind so is a terrific stress release. I do not have any junk food in the cupboards or fridge, only healthy snack food which is benefiting my family as well. I feel if we want a treat then we buy it to have at the time and not have it lingering around the house. Also I have found eating my whole allowance of calories in a healthy way causes me to have a better weight loss in a week than if I keep well under my allowance.

What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?

My husband is away a lot with his work so when I find myself alone at night (especially in front of the TV) I tend to want to snack on the foods that made me big in the first place.

What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?

I allow myself treats each day to satisfy my sweet tooth. The treats are ones I never thought of having before such as WeightWatchers' icecream, low-fat yoghurts, fruit etc. I've found these are just as nice as the higher fat/calorie treats. Also, about once a week I allow myself a small bar of chocolate, not as a reward, but to show I am now in control and I don't need to have it every day.

How do you feel now that you're achieving success?

So good. People are commenting that I am looking good. I didn't tell many people outside of my family that I was going to lose weight so to have people comment on it is terrific. Also feeling my clothes getting looser is fantastic. I am going to need a new wardrobe for winter. My motivation and "get up and go" is 100% better than what it was.

How have the products or services offered by helped you to lose weight?

It has been terrific, much better than anything I have tried before. I enter everything I eat and drink as well as make my weekly check-ins. I never knew much about portion control until CalorieKing and was astounded at how much I was overeating. Now I am in control thanks to CalorieKing!
