What were your weight-control goals?

Eat the set amount of calories per day, limiting carb and sugar intake.

What motivated you to lose weight?

Not being able to play with my niece and nephew without feeling puffed out - how shameful that at 27 I couldn't keep up with a 2 and 4 year old! Also, being single was a motivator too ;)

What was your weight-loss method?

Eating more!!! People are stunned when I tell them 'i started eating more' when they ask how I lost the weight. I stopped skipping breakfast, having a bad lunch and a very minimal dinner (due to living alone, I got very lazy).

What were some obstacles you encountered while losing weight?

Sticking to good food during the winter months was the hardest thing. But I allowed myself to eat more by increasing the gym time. Cooking for one was hard at the start, but there are plenty of ways to serve grilled chicken or fish with healthy sides.

What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?

Fuel in - give your body what it needs to make it through the day!! Don't live by the scales, measurements are just as important!

How do you feel now that you've lost weight?

I have more energy, I don't get exhausted doing simple things (like making the bed!!). Nice to be able to have more of a range when picking out clothes.
