What are your weight-control goals?
I need to control my eating habits. I'm not a person with issues with comfort eating but I am a foodie so when I see a well made desert or a great pasta dish I want to try it and make it. Obviously when I have access to these things daily it becomes an issue so I need to treat myself less often or try healthier options.
What is your motivation for losing weight?
I found myself out of breath and with sore stiff ankles. This is as much about exercise and health as weight loss, in fact the weight loss is more of a by product. I have never been upset with how I look but I am aware of how I physically feel and that scared me.
What is your weight-loss method?
It's all about the intake, I found even on lazy weeks when I don't exercise as much as long as I control my intake I lose body fat.

What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?
I love new foods and passing up the tarts and heavy pasta dishes has been an issue. I also love cooking so I have to control what I cook and how often I can go nuts and make something horribly above my calorie intake.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
Watch what you eat and make sure you have plenty of fruit and vege in the mix. Don't be stupid and starve yourself of needed nutrients and don't attempt to lose a bucket load each week as you're just hurting yourself. I heard a story of a bride starving herself before her wedding to "look good" and instead she had a heart attack the week prior due to the health complications, it's not worth sacrificing your health for the "perfect look".
How do you feel now that you're achieving success?
Damn fine. I can climb stairs and I feel good. I didn't care so much before but I find I linger a little longer in front of the mirror and I do notice the second chin has gone and I have a nice jaw line coming along.
