Slow and steady weight loss which is easy to maintain and regular exercise to increase my fitness levels.
What is your motivation for losing weight?
I am approaching 40 and wanted to be fit and healthy when that happens. I also wanted to be the one in the photo - not the one taking the photo.
What is your weight-loss method?
I finally found what worked for me - a good balance of food / exercise which includes: 1) A salad for lunch every day 2) Walking for 40 minutes a day on my treadmill 3) Calorie counting / cutting down on snacks / drinking water.

What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?
My family has been very supportive - it has not impacted on them that much in that the changes I made were very simple and low impact. Having a treadmill rather than going to the gym was a big plus for me because I could take time out for me but was still on hand if my family needed me.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
Make small achievable changes to your life.
How do you feel now that you're achieving success?
I have to say that because the changes I made were not dramatic and they refelect more lifestyle than diet I have made steady small weight losses and been able to maintain my motivation. I never felt I was missing out on anything. It took me a year to lose the weight. I have maintained the loss for about 2 months now and am about to try and lose the final 6 kg!

CalorieKing played a big part - I counted calories for the first few weeks and this helped me to control my snacks etc. I also look forward to the weekly check in's to see my weight and BMI steadily reduce. Unfortunately I did not take my measurements as well - it would be interesting to know how many cm I have lost.
