What were your weight-control goals?
After quitting smoking my weight increased so much that I was uncomfortable and began to have health issues. I knew I needed to lose around 20 kg, which I set out to do.
What motivated you to lose weight?
I had chronic asthma and the more steroids I took, the bigger I got and the harder it was to breathe! I couldn't keep up with my two young sons and felt really awful about myself.
What was your weight-loss method?
I simply used CalorieKing! I also cut out fatty foods and only ate natural carbohydrates (no bread, pasta etc). I didn't exercise much as it was winter, but I kept relatively active anyway.

What were some obstacles you encountered while losing weight?
I found it hard to exercise due to it being winter and finding the time! I did do some aerobics at home and I always parked my car further than I needed to, so I got a lot of exercise that way.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
My biggest tip would be to see the weight falling off in the long term... not always from week to week. And persevere... it really pays off.
How do you feel now that you've lost weight?
I feel (and look) like a million dollars! I am fitting into clothes I never thought I would and I finally feel fit, healthy and sexy again. And not only that... I no longer have chronic asthma!
