What are your weight-control goals?
My goal is to be under 70 kilos again, which I weighed before I started putting on weight.
What is your motivation for losing weight?
My motivation is that I want to be alive for as long as possible. The only way to do that is to live a healthy life.
What is your weight-loss method?
- I have cut-out all processed foods as much as I can.
- I eat mostly fresh fruit, vegetables and meat.
- I exercise every day, even if it is just a 30 minute walk.
- I enjoy going for bushwalks, jogging and going to the gym.

What obstacles have you encountered while losing weight?
Finding time to exercise was my worst problem at first, but like everyone I think that I was just using it as an excuse. I have a saying: "There are 24 hours in a day, and you only need to exercise for one of them." I remember this when I say I don't have enough time to exercise. It works well.
What tips do you have for others who are trying to lose weight?
Cook all your own food. Stop eating processed and convenience foods; they are loaded with salt, sugar and preservatives, and are no comparison to unprocessed foods.
How do you feel now that you're achieving success?
I feel like I can live until I am 100!
