Sautéed Tofu Patties

Crispy, nutty patties.

Suggestions:

Torula yeast is available from health food shops.

Ingredients:

350 g firm tofu

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/4 tsp garlic salt

2 Tbsp Sanitarium Torula Yeast

1 tsp canola oil

1 Tbsp canola oil, extra

2/3 cup Sanitarium Rolled Oats

2 Tbsp Sanitarium smoke flavoured TVP bits

1 Tbsp salt reduced soy sauce

1 Tbsp water

1 Tbsp water, extra


Directions:

Heat oil and water in a frypan. Sauté onion until tender.

Mash tofu well with a fork, or process lightly in a food processor.

Add onion and remaining ingredients to tofu, except extra oil. Mix well to bind. Shape into 12 patties.

Heat extra oil in frypan over medium heat and gently fry each side of patties 6-7 minutes until crisp and brown.

Serve with a mushroom gravy, jacket potatoes and vegetables.
