
Old Fashioned Baked Beans 
Serves: 8 person(s)Preparation Time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 6 hrs Yield: 8 x 1/2 cup serves Lowfat, low calorie baked beans.
Ingredients:2 cup dried cannellini or haricot beans (440g) 1/4 cup treacle (90g) 1/2 tsp dry mustard 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/2 tsp 'Lite' or table salt 1 can tomatoes (425g) 1 medium onion, finely chopped (100g) Directions:Rinse beans in cold water then place in a large saucepan of boiling water. Return to the boil and cook for 2 minutes. Variations:An alternative method of cooking would be to place them on a combustion type stove overnight or a slow cooking 'Crockpot'.
