Ingredients:2 bunches asparagus spears, trimmed 2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil 2 tsp fresh lemon juice 1 Tbsp lemon rind or zest 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shavings 1 cracked black pepper to season Directions:Steam the asparagus in an asparagus steamer or in a bamboo steamer over a wok of simmering water for 2 minutes, until they are bright in colour and just tender. Remove the steamer from the heat & drain the asparagus. Variations:Serve as an entree or as an accompaniment to grilled meat or fish. Author:
