Start your day with this refreshing blend of yoghurt, strawberries and banana.

Suggestions:

Ingredients:

1 cup orange juice (250ml)

1 cup non-fat plain yoghurt

1 medium banana (150g)

1 cup strawberries, hulled

1/4 cup Equal® Spoonful™ or 6 packets Equal® Sweetener


Directions:

Peel and cut banana into large chunks. Place in freezer bag, seal and freeze at 5-6 hours or overnight.

Place all ingredients in blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.

Serve immediately.

The nutritional breakdown for this is wrong. It''s actually about 38 grams of carbohydrate, and 10 grams of protein. Plus of course about 33 grams of sugar from the fruit. Great recipe, but not quite so low carb.

This recipe is FANTASTIC for breakfast on the go. I leave out the Equal and it makes one cup. It keeps me going till mid morning when I have a piece of fruit and a cup of coffee. I don''t even feel hungry till then. Low on carbs, big on taste!
