Ingredients:

600 g rump steak, trimmed of all fat

1/2 cup teriyaki marinade

4 small Fuji apples, cored and quartered

25 g butter

2 tsp sesame oil

4 green onion, finely sliced

1 tsp sesame seeds, toasted

Directions:

Place the rump steak in a bowl and pour over the marinade. Leave to marinate in the fridge for a few hours, if possible.

Heat a non-stick pan or char-grill over medium heat. Add the rump steak, reserving the marinade. Cook for 3 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking. Stir in the remaining marinade and cook for 1 minute or until the mixture bubbles.

Cut each apple quarter into 3 slices. Heat the butter and sesame oil in a non-stick pan. Cook the apple slices for 1 - 2 minutes on each side or until tender and cooked.

Thinly slice the steak and scatter with green onion and sesame seeds. Serve with the apples coated in sesame seeds.

Variations:

Serve with steamed jasmine rice, or use another type of apple besides Fuji apples, if desired.
