Stuffed Apples

Sweet granny smith apples baked with a savoury mince stuffing.

Ingredients:

6 apples, large (granny smiths or golden delicious)

250 g minced beef, regular

1 Tbsp flour

2 Tbsp parsley, chopped

2 Tbsp white wine

25 g light margarine, cut into 6 cubes

1 tsp pepper

1 tsp salt


Directions:

Preheat oven to 180C.

Wash and core apples, leaving just the shell. Set aside.

In a large bowl, combine minced meat, flour, wine, parsley salt and pepper. Fill each apple with this mixture.

Place stuffed apples in pyrex baking dish and place one cube of margarine on each. Cover with aluminium foil and bake for 35 minutes.

Decorate with mint leaves and serve hot.
