Try something different for dinner tonight - Grilled steak topped with a scrumptious warm tomato and apple topping!

Ingredients:

4 rump steaks

1/3 cup lemon juice

1 pinch of white pepper (to taste)

1 Tbsp olive oil (topping)

4 ripe tomatoes, chopped (topping)

4 spring onion, sliced (topping)

2 Granny Smith apples, skin on, cored and diced (topping)

1 Tbsp brown sugar (topping)

2 Tbsp vinegar (topping)*

1 tsp allspice (topping)

1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper (topping)


Directions:

To make topping, combine all topping ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer. Cook for about 4 minutes or until mixture has heated through.

Combine lemon juice and pepper and brush juice liberally over steaks. Barbecue or grill steaks until golden brown and tender. Serve with warm topping.

Variations:

Accompany with fresh sweet corn and Royal Blue potato mash, if desired. Serving suggestion not included in nutritional information.

* Please choose a gluten free variety of vinegar, if required.
