Ingredients:

1 Tbsp olive oil

1 onion, finely chopped

500 g lean beef mince

300 g button mushrooms, diced

2 Tbsp tomato paste

400 g can crushed tomatoes, undrained

3 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 1/2 cup mashed potato (made from 600 g Desiree potatoes)

Directions:

Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes or until soft. Add beef mince and cook, stirring constantly, for 10 minutes or until browned. Add mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or until liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 220ºC. Spoon mince mixture into a 5 cup ovenproof dish. Top evenly with mashed potato. Bake for 20 minutes or until potato begins to brown.
