Served warm over Turkish bread, these mushrooms make a great starter or snack.

Ingredients:

3 cup button mushrooms, sliced

2 cloves garlic, crushed

1/4 cup dry white wine

2 Tbsp fresh thyme, plus extra to serve

1/2 tsp cracked black pepper, or to taste

4 50 g slices Turkish bread


Directions:

Combine sliced field mushrooms with garlic and white wine. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Add to a hot non-stick pan and cook for five minutes. Remove from heat and stir thyme hrough. Add a good amount of cracked black pepper. Spoon onto slices of Turkish bread and garnish with fresh thyme.
