Fire Up the DVD Player!
Even though the weather might be bad, your body still needs regular physical activity to be healthy. Try and get at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity on most days of the week. For extra health benefits, if you can, also do some physical activity that makes you huff and puff. If you haven't exercised for a long time, see your doctor before you start.
If You Won’t Go to the Gym…Bring the Gym to You
Your local classifieds often have people selling fitness equipment at bargain prices. Take advantage of this and buy a few pieces of equipment that you know you enjoy using at the gym. Set-up an area of your lounge room, or wherever you have space. It’s harder to say to yourself ‘I can’t be bothered going to the gym’ if the gym is right there in your lounge room!
