| The H.I Factor |
| Folks - first time blog, long time user of this site! Just wanted to share a very basic fact that I realised when losing my 30kgs, and with my weight loss maintenance. Something that has kept my weight off for the past 5 years. That is - Human Interaction or the H.I Factor!!!! The view is that, whenever a human being has interacted with food it has been what I call H.I. Meaning that they have probably put something into this food to make it sweeter, saltier, last longer, taste better, feel healthier, or even changed the taste of the product. An easy way to identify these products is when: it is wrapped in plastic, it is in a tin, does it have colourful patterns and branding on it, does it say 99% fat free or sugar free. Most products in the supermarket tick a lot of these boxes i know, so you just need to steer clear of these. Remember marketing people and companies want you to think you're eating healthy but really the product has been H.I'ed! Now I use this as a broad theory when applying this to foods and cooking. As I am sure that there are some foods that need to come in packaging, plastic or even tins. My point is that, this should be the first sign of H.I, and this is what should trigger you into questioning what is inside of this. Its my thoughts and through my success of weight loss, that i believe there is something in this theory. It's not my theory, as I remember reading about it years ago in a book of inspiration by someone. Also, with this theory, i am now looking at enrolling to become a nutritionist once i have completed me Personal Training course - so here to help anyone in the meantime with free advice LOL I would like to hear from people on this theory. |
