|Hi Rick welcome, I am also a newer member to the forums as well.|
You have been given some really great suggestions in all the posts so far. I think the best place for you to start is "first things first" and get off to a really good start in the right direction, so your enthusiasm and energy to lose this weight is not wasted. TRACHIH3 & CANCER84 hit the nail on the head by pointing you to the new members forum and the CK program, you have got to go there first and just start learning as you go Rick. Also you could click the link just below and visit the Success forums and read peoples success and motivational stories and see their before and after photo's. I found these really helpful and inspiring.
Rick don't underestimate your ability to learn and adapt to the right healthy eating style and watch a lot of those vice foods that hold you back, those same foods that you didn't think you could do without, just drift off into some unimportant place allowing your weight to return to where it should be.
As MIILYJAYNE also suggested; start out easy, give yourself the space to get comfortable with weighing your foods and understanding portion sizes, the rest will just start to fall into place, quicker than you realise. My experience of past failures was they were almost alway's born out of my great urgency to get there (the goal weight) before I had even got off go, so to speak.
Remember Rick - 1st Things !st! you will waste less time and become far more focused and organised and you know what that will mean !
All the very best Rick,
PS I loved Tim Tams -every night I loved them, I couldn't do without them ( one of my Vice foods) unbelievable as it might seem - we have had an amical divorce and are living happily ever after (without each other.)
