Is Calorie King Accurate?

Just did a nutritional on Broccoli, raw on CalorieCount and it listed Total Carbohydrates for 1cup chopped (78g) as 5.6g.

But on Calorie King it listed it as 0.3g. That is a huge difference from 5.6g.

Can anyone explain that? Thanks.

I can't explain it, but looking at different sources for comparison the 5.6 value is correct.

Interesting, well spotted :)

I'm wondering if the carb value is listed as "effective" carbohydrate. This is the amount of the carb that can actually be used for energy (ie. less the fibre). If you add the fibre content to the carb content for the broccoli, the value is more similar. Not sure if this is the case and it is very confusing if it is. Maybe it would be a good idea to ask CK themselves.

There are a number of discrepancies people have found, you can only send them the info and hope for the best.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Sorry I forgot about this post and only replying now, because of all the going ons of Christmas and New Years.

@CALAUS: I think you mean Net Carb amount. I though it might have listed that so I did minus the fibre amount but still the ending result was not nearly correct as the other sites.

I did send Calorie King a feedback/error message directly from their broccoli nutritional page, but still no feedback from them!
