Is the dietary fiber already deducted from the total Carbs

Just been told the Dietary Fiber has been deducted already here in Australia but they don't deduct in the USA can someone confirm this please

No, total carbs includes all carbs regardless of source. I've never heard of this being deducted for the carb total on the nutritional panel of any food.

No, as far as I know both show up ie carbs and fibre, so fibre is not taken away.
My psyllium husks say the same carbs as fibre.

I'm fairly certain that dietary fibre is not included in the total carbohydrate count here.

As i was trying to get a net Carb per food i was told to deduct the Dietary fiber from the Carbs with USA websites but was told its already deducted for us in Australia

I think on a label it depends if it's indented or not.

Indented means it's included in the above total, otherwise if it's even with the rest of the names it isnt.

I bought these Atkins type bars when I was in the US and I thought it was remarkable they were so low carb. But then I realised that it was net carbs but it didn't indicate that on the nutritional panel. So I think that theirs isn't like ours.

I been told by a few in the USA that websites like FitDay etc don't deduct so to get the net Carbs we have to deduct ourselves.
